Cub Scouts Meet Here!

Cub Scouting means “doing.”

Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things.

Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings.

Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a boy’s sense of belonging.

Add Your Unit To the Be A Scout National Map

Unit Leaders – National needs your assistance – which in turn – will help at all levels of scouting – Unit, District and Council. Get your unit contacts and meeting location on National’s Google map so that anyone inquiring about where is there a Pack, Troop, Crew or Ship is located, can find it.

Log in to MyScouting.org and on the left sidebar under the Unit tools you will see a link for BeAScout.

Click the link and fill out or edit the information there and remember to change the “Pin Status” to ACTIVE.

That’s All! Click Here to go to the main site and enter your address to see your pin.

Unit Key 3 – Cubmaster / Scoutmaster / Crew Adviser, Committee Chair and Charter Org Reps can update the file. Please make this a must ASAP.

A Sad Day For Scouting

It is with great sadness I report to you that Rick Cocchia passed away this weekend. He has meant a great deal to us all and his impact on Scouting will be felt for generations to come. Few really know just how much he did, but Scouting is better due to his efforts. Please join us this Friday at 7:00pm to pay our final respects. Scottish Rite Temple in Lake Worth, 2000 North D Street 33460.

Yours in Scouting,

Steve Whalen
